UT Tyler Longview University Center

The UT Tyler Longview University Center is The University of Texas at Tyler's Longview campus, at 3201 North Eastman Road. From I-20, take Highway 259 North — Eastman Road — and continue about two miles past Loop 281; the center is on the left. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. According to UT Tyler, the Longview center offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing along with programs in Industrial Technology and Applied Arts & Sciences. The university says the nursing program is taught face-to-face with simulation spaces on site and a curriculum available year-round. The center also maintains transfer pathways with Kilgore College so students can finish an associate degree locally and apply those credits toward a bachelor's degree without leaving Gregg County. For working adults who would rather not commute to Tyler for every class, that is the whole point. Admissions requirements, class schedules and advising appointments are handled through the center or the UT Tyler website.
