Texas Special Children's Projects is a 501(c)(3) charity based on North First Street in Longview that provides free, year-round events for special-needs children and adults, including in-hospital sing-alongs and parties, sponsored field trips and themed social events. It started as a small project among friends in 2001 and became an official charity in 2009. All of its programming is offered free of charge to participants and their families.
