Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity

Nonprofits & Community Serving Longview since 1985

About

Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the community since 1985, working out of its Longview office on McCann Road and serving Gregg, Harrison, and Upshur counties. The Christian housing nonprofit reports 113 homes built, 1,159 homes repaired, and 2,798 people helped over the course of its work. Alongside its homeownership program, which has published selection criteria, Habitat runs a Critical Repair program for existing homeowners who need help staying in their houses. Next door at 907 McCann Road, the Habitat ReStore sells donated home goods and building materials to fund the mission, and fundraisers like Bags & Bling Bingo and Purses For A Purpose fill in more. Listed funders include HUD, USDA, the City of Longview, the City of Marshall, and United Way. LaJuan Hollis-Gordon serves as CEO.
