Regard4Life Animal Rescue

A volunteer-run Longview rescue working the hardest end of animal welfare. Regard4Life states on its own site that it is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) committed to rescuing dogs and cats in East Texas, with a mission to save as many animals as possible from euthanasia in local shelters and to educate the public about the area's pet overpopulation problem. The group has no storefront. Its mailing address is a Longview P.O. box, and adoptions happen out in public where the animals can meet people, most Saturdays at the PetSmart on North Eastman Road. Adoption requires an application and a home visit, and applications are reviewed by the board of directors. Available animals are posted through their RescueMe, Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet listings, and their Facebook page is where most day-to-day updates land. Fostering, transport help and supply donations are the kinds of support rescues like this run on. Current adoption fees and requirements are best confirmed with the group directly.
