Mr. Churro

Mr. Churro is a churro and coffee shop on Beechwood Drive in north Longview, just off Judson Road. Owner Luis Castanon grew up in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and brought the churros he knew there to East Texas. They are fried fresh to order, either plain or filled with Bavarian cream or dulce de leche. The coffee menu leans the same direction, with a Mexican mocha, a horchata latte and a salted churro latte. Castanon's family also runs Patio 903 Taqueria + Beer Garden in Longview, and a second Mr. Churro location downtown has been in the works.
