Serving Longview since 2008
Liz Couch and Randy Couch
About
Mi Casita was born in 2008 when Eric Dean opened a small taco shop on North Spur 63 with three tables and a big dream. Dean died unexpectedly in 2023 at 47. His sister Liz Couch and her husband Randy invested in the restaurant to keep it in the family, and they run it today — with many of the original staff who opened the doors alongside Eric still there.
Nearly everything is made in-house: sausage, chorizo, carne guisada, barbacoa, beef, chicken, birria, carnitas and picadillo, with beans simmered daily, rice from a signature recipe, and salsas made fresh every day from smoky chipotle to pineapple habanero. The standouts are breakfast tacos, oversized breakfast burritos, the Chuck Norris Burrito, French toast with house-made syrup, fish and shrimp tacos, and Macho Fries. Quesabirria tacos, street taco plates, tortas, shrimp quesadillas, fried avocado and huevos rancheros round out the menu. Music is part of the identity too — the restaurant keeps a public playlist and an "Our Music" page on its site.
