Lizzy's Diner

An all-day breakfast joint at 1301 Judson Road, open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. seven days a week. The kitchen turns out pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, three-egg omelets and strong coffee all day, plus a rotating daily lunch special. Texas Monthly's Dining Guide has written the place up, singling out a noontime special of pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans, and a tart Key lime pie for dessert. The building was a convenience store in a former life — the draw here is fair prices, folksy servers and a room full of regulars. Dine-in, outdoor seating and pickup are all available, and the daily specials get posted to their Facebook page.
