Kidd Camp

Kidd Camp Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Art Carter, who also runs Stella Kidd, a Longview employment service that helps people with disabilities find and keep jobs. Kidd Camp grew out of that work to focus on the parts of life a job alone does not cover — friendships, social connection, and skills like communication and self-advocacy. In 2024, Stella Kidd helped more than 60 disabled East Texans get into the workforce, and Carter started Kidd Camp because many of those clients still lacked much of a social network outside of work.
