About

Hope's Closet is the thrift store on Wal Street in Longview whose proceeds fund the Women's Center of East Texas. Clothing, household goods, books and furniture come in as donations and go back out at thrift prices, and the store is a genuine destination for bargain hunters rather than an afterthought attached to a nonprofit. The Women's Center of East Texas provides services at no cost to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, and Hope's Closet is one of the ways that work gets paid for. Shoppers describe a clean, well-organized store with an especially deep women's clothing section. Hope's Closet operates locations in Longview, Kilgore and Marshall; the Longview store is listed as open Monday through Saturday plus Sunday afternoons. Donations of usable clothing and household items are accepted at the store, though it is smart to call ahead about large furniture. Current hours and donation guidelines are posted by the Women's Center.
