Historic Longview Farmers Market

Events & Entertainment Serving Longview since 2010

About

The Historic Longview Farmers Market sets up Saturday mornings at the corner of High and Cotton streets, on the site of the old Kelly Plow Works, a spot with about as much Longview history packed into it as any corner in town. The market opened in 2010 as a project of Preservation Longview and runs March through November, roughly 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. The rule that shapes the whole thing is simple: nothing in the market is bought wholesale and resold. Vendors are vetted, and they make or grow what they bring. That means locally grown fruit, vegetables, honey and herbs; free-range and pastured beef, pork, lamb, chicken and eggs; and gourmet goods like pastries, cinnamon rolls, jellies, spice mixes and marinades. Prepared food has expanded too, with Mediterranean, Indian and vegan options. Craft vendors round it out with fresh flower bouquets, soy candles, jewelry, handmade soaps and charcuterie boards. It is a genuine producer market and one of the better weekend habits in Longview.
