About
East Texas Radiator has been in the cooling business in Longview since 1972, and it has grown well past the corner radiator shop. The original operation on West Cotton Street handles automotive heating and cooling — radiators, heater cores, condensers and the rest — while a second arm, ETR Services on Coolant Lane, designs and rebuilds industrial heat exchangers for the oil, gas and mining industries.
That industrial side is unusual for a shop of this size. According to the company, ETR Services is an ASME Code shop under the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division I, holding a U stamp for fabrication and an R stamp for re-design of existing heat exchangers, and it says it is known throughout a four-state area. For a driver with a truck running hot on Loop 281, all of that credentialing translates into something simpler: the people looking at your radiator have spent five decades understanding how heat moves through metal.
