Serving Longview since 2007
About
ArtWalk Longview is a free, self-guided tour of downtown and midtown venues showing and selling work by local artists, held four times a year, rain or shine. It is free for artists to participate and free for the public to attend, which is a large part of why it has grown the way it has.
Founded in the fall of 2007 to draw people downtown to the museums, restaurants and shops, ArtWalk now regularly brings out well over a hundred vendors, including painters, sculptors, photographers, local authors, bakers and chefs, along with food trucks and street musicians filling the sidewalks. Recent editions have run evenings from about 5 to 8 p.m., and the December walk is timed to coincide with the Longview Museum of Fine Arts holiday market. The event is presented by Arts!Longview as part of the Arts!Longview Cultural District, which stretches from downtown out to the Belcher Center at LeTourneau University. Dates and participating venues are posted each season on the ArtWalk website.
