About
Animal Protection League is a nonprofit that runs low-cost spay and neuter clinics plus preventive veterinary care, including vaccinations, heartworm and FIV/leukemia testing, and flea, tick and heartworm prevention. The goal is to reduce the stray population and cut down on shelter euthanasia by making basic vet care affordable.
Longview serves as the organization's primary hub, and APL reaches roughly 40 East Texas communities through four mobile surgical units and four brick-and-mortar clinics. It's a Longview Chamber of Commerce member and a Greater Longview United Way agency.
