The Jack of Pawns

The Jack of Pawns is a locally owned pawnshop at 1704 E. Marshall Ave. in Longview, established in 1978. The store has been a member in good standing of the Texas Association of Pawnshop owners since 1998, and it keeps its lending narrow on purpose: it loans money on firearms and jewelry only. On the retail side, The Jack of Pawns is a full-line Browning dealer with access to a range of other firearm and sporting goods manufacturers, and it stocks bullets, primers, brass and powder from all the major makers — the store describes itself as one of the largest reloading suppliers in East Texas. It also carries Benchmade knives, blackpowder supplies and coolers. The shop takes pride in being a clean, comfortable store where customers can browse as long as they like without being rushed, and it has been recognized among "The Best In East Texas." Open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
