Parke Way Fitness Center

Fitness & Recreation Serving Longview since 1982

About

Parke Way Fitness Center has been operating on Bill Owens Parkway in Longview since September 1982, when it opened as Parke Way Racquet and Health Club. Back then the facility was built around a dozen tournament-quality racquetball courts, and it has stayed in continuous operation on the same west-side site ever since. Today it runs as a membership fitness center with cardio and strength equipment and open daytime hours. Four decades in one location is a rare thing for a gym anywhere, let alone in a market that has seen national chains come and go along the loop, and Parke Way remains locally owned rather than part of a franchise system. Prospective members should call the club or stop by to ask about current membership options, class schedules, and what equipment is on the floor. If you grew up in Longview and remember playing racquetball on Bill Owens, this is the place.
