Pacific Asian Market

Pacific Asian Market is a locally owned Asian grocery on Gilmer Road stocking ramen, sauces, snacks and hard-to-find ingredients for East Texas cooks. Founded in 2018 by Romel S. Igaya, the store has grown to two locations and describes itself simply as a community staple in Longview — which is about right for a place that carries the soy sauce, gochujang, rice noodles and produce you cannot reliably get anywhere else in Gregg County. The shelves run deep on Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Thai and Chinese pantry goods, with a snack and instant noodle selection that has developed its own following. The store also runs an online shop with local pickup and nationwide shipping, and the Longview News-Journal reported in 2026 that the family was opening an additional Longview location pairing the market with a restaurant. Romel also operates a boba café and restaurant, which makes this a genuine family business footprint in town.
