Oberthier Counseling

Christa Oberthier, LPC, runs Oberthier Counseling in Longview under the name The Beginning Steps. She is from the Longview area, earned a B.S. at East Texas Baptist University, taught for eight years before moving into school counseling, and holds an M.A. from Stephen F. Austin State. Her practice works primarily with adults, couples and adolescents, including marriage and pre-marital counseling. She is trained in EMDR and the Gottman Marriage Model, and also uses solution-focused brief therapy and CBT. Sessions are offered in person and online.
