Longview Pickleball Club

Pickleball went from a curiosity to a full-blown movement in East Texas, and in Longview the club is the reason. Formed in 2020, the Longview Pickleball Club is based at Guthrie Park on Tupelo Drive, home to the city's public outdoor courts, and its stated purpose is playing, promoting and progressing the game in Longview and the Pineywoods. Membership gets you into a member-only group chat that functions as the town's pickleball switchboard for players, places and times, plus monthly clinics for every level from beginner to advanced and weekly round robins open to all skills and ages. The club also puts on two tournaments a year: the Guthrie Creek Open in the spring and the Longview Regional Open in the fall, both of which draw players from across the region. Club volunteers have worked with the city to expand court availability. Membership details, event schedules and a map of local places to play are all on their website.
