Kenco Pools, Spas and Billiards

Kenco Pools has been in the pool business since 1976, when — as the company tells it — Ken Mattheyer noticed East Texas needed a reliable pool store. More than four decades later, Kenco runs a Longview showroom on Gilmer Road alongside its original Nacogdoches location. It is part retail counter and part service company. On the retail side there is water care from lines like Poolife, Baquacil, Sirona and Applied Biochemists, plus pool equipment, safety covers, billiards and golf cars. On the service side Kenco handles pool renovation and decking, vinyl liner replacement, equipment upgrades, repairs, routine maintenance, and seasonal openings and closings. The showroom would rather talk it through in person than have you guess online — its own pitch is "Shop Local for Friendly Service and Expert Advice." The company notes it was voted Best in Nacogdoches from 2019 through 2022, and it offers financing on larger renovation projects.
