Gregg Tex Investigations is a private investigation firm based in Longview. Its own site states the company is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, and says the investigators bring more than a hundred years of collective experience to finding the answers a client is looking for while keeping the work confidential. The firm's casework spans family law matters including child custody and court order violations, criminal defense investigation, background investigations, surveillance, computer and mobile device forensics, process service, missing persons and adoption locates. Kevin Brownlee owns the firm and works as an investigator. His background is in law enforcement: he entered the field in 1991 and worked as a criminal investigator for the Sugar Land and Longview police departments and the Texas Attorney General's Office, holds a bachelor of science in criminal justice from the University of Houston-Downtown along with Master Peace Officer and cyber crimes certifications, and started the firm after retiring from law enforcement in 2013. The company is also listed with the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators.
