East Texas Carports builds metal structures the whole way through, manufacturing in-house at its facility on West Cotton Street in Longview and then delivering and installing them at the customer's property. That covers steel carports, garages, barns, workshops, RV and boat covers, and commercial buildings. The company says it was founded on three basic principles: quality manufacturing, quality installation, and quality customer service. Free delivery and installation extend across Texas and into Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, and Mississippi, and the business is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Because everything is made locally rather than shipped in from a distant plant, sizes and configurations can be worked out to fit the site instead of the other way around. The shop is open weekdays and Saturday mornings.
