Dottie Hunt School of Dance

Dottie Hunt School of Dance has been part of Longview's dance scene since 1958. The studio on Pine Tree Road has spent more than 50 years teaching dance to children and adults, and it welcomes students at every level, from preschool-age first-timers to advanced and adult dancers. Class offerings span tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, modern, cheer, twirl, and preschool combination classes, so a family can start with the basics and keep going as a dancer grows. The studio has two dance rooms outfitted with mirrors and barres along with gymnastic mats, and dancewear can be ordered right at the studio instead of hunted down elsewhere. Each year the school puts on a recital that gives students a stage and gives families something to look forward to. Doors are open weekday afternoons and evenings, Monday through Friday from noon to 9 p.m., and the studio is closed on weekends.
