About

Tucked onto the CHRISTUS Good Shepherd campus off Good Shepherd Way, the Institute for Healthy Living is Longview's hospital-run fitness and aquatics center, and it keeps the doors open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Members get the fitness floor, a group fitness studio, strength and cardio equipment, locker rooms, and both indoor and outdoor walking tracks. The aquatic center is the piece that sets it apart: a heated 25-meter four-lane lap pool, a heated therapeutic resistance pool built to help people manage joint pain and osteoarthritis, plus hot tub and cold plunge pools. Personal training is offered individually, in small groups of two to four, and for couples, and every trainer holds an exercise-related degree or a nationally recognized certification. It's a good fit whether you're training hard or working your way back from an injury.
