Blackaller Engineering & Surveying

Gary Blackaller founded this Longview engineering and land surveying firm in 1985, and it has been drawing property lines across East Texas ever since. The firm says Blackaller is a Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas and a 1978 graduate of Texas A&M University, and that he began his career as an Engineering Aid with the U.S. Navy Seabees. Day to day, the office handles boundary surveys and Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, and surveys for subdivisions. They also prepare FEMA Flood Elevation Certificates and put together applications to FEMA for Letters of Map Amendment, which is the kind of paperwork that matters a lot when a lender or an insurance carrier starts asking questions about a flood zone. Their stated service area reaches well beyond Gregg County, covering Upshur, Rusk, Harrison, Panola, Wood, Marion, Smith, Camp, Cass and Morris counties. The office sits on Bill Owens Parkway on the north side of Longview and keeps regular weekday hours.
