1871 Wine and Spirits opened January 31, 2026, next door to the Holyfield family's Lil Tommy's Gas and Go on U.S. 259 North. The store exists because the family led a successful 2024 local-option election that expanded alcohol sales into Gregg County's Precinct 1.
It is housed in a new 15,500-square-foot building the family built, which also has room for other businesses. It is a genuinely local, family-driven addition to Longview's retail scene.
